I hope this reaches you in good spirits and great health. Correct me if I’m wrong, but am I the only one anxiously bidding farewell to 2008?! WOW! What a year, to say the least.
As most of you know, my journey continued this year as I relocated back to Miami in May.
How did that happen? Well its quite simple, I came to Miami in April to see my best friend get married, little did I know that the weekend to follow would change 2008 all together.
After the wedding I spent the weekend with my long time friend Derrick and we discussed life, business, and all that goes with it, at the end of the weekend I knew it was time for change, so I proceeded back to Newport Beach and checked out of California, at least emotionally.
The plan was to go back to CA for a couple more months, plan the move, and arrive in July, yaaa, not so much, that plan was expedited by me selling everything I own on Craigslist, coordinating a move in, oh in about 3 weeks, grabbing 2 one way tickets to Miami and calling the rest history, yes I am nuts to just clarify! :P
Since arriving in Miami I continue to get the question, “So why the move back?” and in all honesty my CA time had run its course, Kayla missed her Mother, and I for all intents and purposes was completely convinced that change was inevitable and going back “Home” just made sense. There’s nothing like it.
Business continues to be struggle in the midst of this “lovely” economy as we’re all aware, but the eternal optimist in me continues to remind me that it will all turn around in due time, as it always does!
I can’t put a price tag on having some assistance with Kayla now, even though I’ve mastered the Daddy Program, SANITY is vital! Can I get an AMEN?!
Kayla’s Mom and I have great parenting relationship and regardless of her challenges of being a Mother in the past, she’s here today and part of Kayla’s life and that’s really all I can ask for.
I am really looking forward to seeing what God has in store for 2009. This year has been a great opportunity to grow, reconnect with old friends, spend time with family and just count my blessings.
Well that’s all for now folks! If you make it to Miami or you’re already here, look me up, I’d love to catch up!
Kayla and I would like to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and prosperous and healthy New Year!!
God Bless All of you!
In His Grip,
Sebastian & Kayla <><
